Editorial standards

Readers should be able to tell what happened, what we think it means and where the evidence comes from.

Sources and attribution

Our research workflow prioritizes company releases, regulatory filings, investor presentations and official economic releases. Reporting and investor commentary help identify stories and competing interpretations. Material claims should link to their supporting evidence.

Facts, opinions and estimates

Reported results, company guidance, analyst opinions and C&C assumptions serve different purposes. We label them accordingly and avoid presenting a projection as an accomplished event.

Market figures

Prices and returns need a date and session. A closing price is different from a premarket snapshot. Implied options moves describe ranges rather than directional forecasts.

Advertising

Sponsor placements are identified as advertising or partnerships. A sponsor’s claims are distinct from C&C’s editorial analysis.

Corrections

A later web correction does not change an email already delivered to a reader’s inbox. Material corrections should be dated and explain what changed.

Investment commentary

Cash & Chaos provides general information and independent analysis, not personalized investment advice. Valuation estimates are assumptions, not guaranteed outcomes.

AI assistance in educational guides

Our web guides use AI assistance for drafting and organization. We check source links and worked calculations during preparation, label hypothetical examples, and provide publication dates and links readers can follow. AI assistance does not establish expertise or replace careful evaluation of financial claims.
